BEING MACKENZIE PEER
When I was 10 years old I met Macu, my first Dressage horse, and Emily Miles, my first Dressage coach. With many lessons and hard work I successfully climbed the ranks from struggling Intro rider to Regional Championships at Prix St Georges and showing I-1. It took every summer, riding everyday, and driving to the barn weekdays after class throughout high school for Emily to help grow me into a CDI caliber rider. Polishing touches for my show career also came from past coach David Wightman. He helped me navigate showing the NAYC Juniors circuit as well as expanding my horizons in training horses full time after graduating highschool. Through David I met Joh Hinnemann who offered me a job riding for him in Germany. After coming back from Europe I took a job for Lars Petersen and Melissa Taylor in Wellington, FL where I am now based.
